Milou Sars is a visual artist working on a broad range of art disciplines, with a predilection for ceramics and painting.

Her inspirations are ranging widely from narratives, signs, scenery and culture. However, a certain simplicity and silence always can be found in her work. For many years, she has been busy investigating her objects of choice: simple shapes, forms and rhythms.

Shifting from two to three dimensions and vice versa, there is a new creation in the repetition of the process. It always is a generator for something new. The material chosen and the repetition determine the final shape while embracing the unexpected.

Milou graduated with honors from the Academy of Visual Arts in Tilburg, The Netherlands. She also received an education in Belgium, where she specialized in ceramics.
